Wellness Exams
Wellness exams are full comprehensive examinations for all animals no matter the age, species, or size. Even if things are going well with our animals, we want to make sure they have annual examinations and bloodwork. In addition, any ailments such as vomiting, diarrhea, itchy skin, weight loss etc. will be addressed. A specifically tailored plan for your pet's health status and risk factors will be formulated with recommendations for and not limited to, your pet's nutrition, dental care, vaccinations, heart-worm/flea/tick prevention, bloodwork, and urinalysis. Holistic veterinary medical evaluations are also available with IVS Mobile Vets. Holistic veterinary medicine evaluates the entire animal including the body, spirit and mind. After the evaluation an optimal plan that usually includes a combination of traditional and holistic therapies is formulated.
Vaccinations/Microchipping
Vaccinations are one of the best ways to protect your pet from many common life-threatening diseases. Throughout their lifetimes, cats and dogs are exposed to a wide range of diseases in their environment. Even ‘indoor pets’ can be at risk if left unvaccinated. A tussle outside with elements in your own backyard ie. a neighborhood pest, or a run-in with indoor vermin could be enough to transmit these diseases. If you’ve recently adopted a dog or cat, regardless of age, it’s important to keep their vaccinations up to date in order to keep them healthy.
Health Certificates
Are you planning to fly with your pet or ship your pet to a new location? We are accredited to sign health certificates for both foreign and domestic travel. We will help you understand the requirements for travel to a specific destination and will ensure that all steps are completed in the time limit required by the country you are traveling to.
Geriatric/Hospice Care
Geriatric patients are classified as our pet pals that are over the age of 7 years in dogs and 10 years in cats. Age isn’t a disease, but it comes along with a few things. This pet population requires more detailed evaluations, tailored care, and routine laboratory diagnostics to evaluate all their vital organs. This may require long term vitamins/supplements, physical therapies, and medications. IVS Mobile Vets will help pet owners navigate this new road to ensure your animals are receiving the required attention at this new stage.
End of Life Transitions
When is it the right time to say goodbye? Are they in pain? How will I know if it’s their time? These are just some of the many questions that enter our minds when our pets’ lives are transitioning. Making this decision is never easy. IVS Mobile Vets will assist you and your family in making this compassionate and selfless decision as well as, coordinate cremation services.
